Juliette Owen-Jones
Hi, I’m Juliette! Here’s a bit about me:
I’ve been the marketing and content lead at Futuretheory since 2023. Before that, I was a journalist for Morocco World News, an internationally read newspaper based in Rabat, Morocco.
I moved back to my hometown of Canberra in 2021 and worked as a freelance writer before settling in at Futuretheory. Here, I’ve built upon my passion for writing and found an equal love for SEO.
I see SEO as a puzzle that I never want to stop solving. How can I place keywords just right without sacrificing readability? How can I make a page better in the eyes of both Google and users? How can I get a page from 2nd to 1st place in SERPs? These are questions I love finding the answers to, and I don’t stop until I get it right.
I take a similar tactical approach to writing. To me, good writing is as much a science as it is an art, and I’m always looking to improve. I have 3 principles that never change, however:
- Good writing is clear.
- Good writing is concise.
- Good writing is correct.
How best I can meet these principles is something I’m always tweaking, and with great joy.
I spend my free time hiking, camping, or expanding my ever-growing collection of antique books (mostly from the 1800s). Sometimes, I even find the time to read them.
