NAP (Name, Address, Phone)

NAP stands for a business’s Name, Address and Phone number, the core contact details that establish its identity in local search. Search engines cross-reference these details wherever they appear: your website, your social profiles and online directories like Google Business Profile.

Consistency is what matters. When your NAP details match exactly across every platform, search engines can trust they’re correct, which helps your business rank in local search results. Mismatches have the opposite effect. If your address is formatted one way on your website and another way in a directory, that inconsistency can undermine your local rankings and make it harder for customers to reach you.
