Local Pack
The Local Pack is a Google Search feature that displays three local businesses alongside a map of their locations. It’s also known as the Map Pack, Google 3-Pack or Snack Pack. Google shows it in response to searches with local intent, like ‘plumber near me’ or ‘cafe in Braddon’.
The Local Pack appears near the top of the SERP, below the paid ads and above the organic links. Because it sits so high and takes up so much space, especially on mobile, ranking in the Local Pack can drive significant foot traffic and phone calls to a business.
