Link equity
Link equity, also called ‘link juice’, is the value a link passes from one page to another. When a trusted website links to a page, it passes on some of its own authority. Search engines treat these backlinks as a sign of quality and may reward the page with higher rankings. Link equity passes through internal links within a website as well as links from external sites.
